Linda Edna Cardellini was born in Redwood City, California, to Lorraine (Hernan) and Wayne David Cardellini an entrepreneur. She comes from Italian, German (from the paternal grandmother), Irish and Scottish heritage. Linda was raised within the San Francisco Bay area, California and was the eldest of four kids. Acting became her passion at the age of ten when she played a role as a singer in an annual school Christmas performance. Her next stage was performing in school and community theater. Linda was a student at Saint Francis High School in Mountain View, California. Following graduation, she was required to make a choice among New York, where she was able to pursue theatre and acting, and Los Angeles, where film and television were her options. LA was the best option for her. Linda appeared in Bone Chillers (1996), her first appearance in the role. She had her breakthrough role as a character in Freaks and Geeks (1998). Lily Chloe Ninette Thomson (born 5 April 1989) more popularly known as her stage name Lily James, is an English actor from England. She was trained in acting in the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London and made her debut with the British television show Just William (2010). Cinderella (2015) became her first feature film, following the role she played the role of Lady Rose MacClare (2012-2015) in Downton Abbey which was a period drama. James was later cast as the role of Countess Natasha Rostova in the television version of War & Peace (2016) and starred in several films. These included the action film Baby Driver (2017), the period dramas Darkest Hour (2017), The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society (2018) and The Dig (2021), as well as the musicals Mamma Mia! We Go Again 2018 and Yesterday (2019). The role she played as Pamela Anderson for the biographical show Pam & Tommy in 2022 was recognized with Golden Globes as well as the Primetime Emmy Awards.
