Leona LaurenLeona Louise Lewis was born 3 April 1985. It is an actor as well as a singer and activist born in Britain. Born and raised in the London Borough of Islington, she went to in the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology located in Croydon. Lewis was able to gain international attention after winning The X-Factor's third series in 2006. Also, she was awarded the PS1 million recording contract with Syco Music. The winning single, which was which was a cover to Kelly Clarkson's "A Moment like This" reached #1 for several weeks on the UK Singles Chart and broke the world record for 50,000 digital downloads within thirty minutes. Clive Davis, Lewis's American record label J Records signed Lewis a five-album contract in February of 2007. Lewis maintained her popularity by releasing Spirit the first studio album. The album was platinum 10x recognized in the UK. This album became the fourth album to be sold in the 2000s, and also one of the top-selling UK albums. Spirit According to Official Charts Company is the record-breaking debut album of the 21st century of a female artist. Its lead single "Bleeding Love" remains on top of the UK charts for seven consecutive weeks and then became the single with the highest sales in 2007. It also was the top-selling single in the US during the same time. Lewis won the Billboard Best New Artist Award the subsequent year. Echo is her second studio album. The album also featured the hit song "I See You" for Avatar. Lewis's single "Collide," was made in collaboration with Swedish DJ Avicii as well as Hurt The EP, her first play that was extended. Glassheart (2012) came out as Lewis the release of her three studio albums. It marked Lewis the first time she tried electronic dubstep and music. Lewis began recording music for her Christmas debut album while on her Glassheart Tour, which took during the middle of 2013. Christmas with Love came out later that year and its lead single, "One More Sleep" came in at the third position in the UK. It made Lewis to be the first British independent female musician in the top five, with eight songs. Also, she beat Olivia Newton-John's record of seven.
