Madhuri dixit known as an Indian actress, is most well known for her roles as Beta, Saajan, and Hum Aapke Hain Koun ..!'. She began her career in 1980s and was a hit with her part in the film "Tezaab", in which she appeared alongside Anil Kapoor, an experienced actor. In the film 'Dil she was a part of the cast alongside Aamir Khan. She was born into an Mumbai middle-class family, and started dancing as a child. At the age of a teenager she tried acting, but failed for a few years. She found success, and eventually, she would become a top actress in the Indian film industry. She had a short break from her profession following her wedding before returning to the entertainment business. In the past, she had featured in the film "Gulaab Gang" that was about the challenges and triumphs of women from India. Dixit was nominated 15 times for Filmfare Awards. Eight of these awards she won. Dixit was also awarded the Padma Shri award, India's fourth highest civilian award. She is well-known for her work in the field of social service and also for her charitable work.
